National Account Manager - Level 3 Communications

Responsibilities

  • The National Account Manager must possess very strong written and verbal communications skills, solid organizational skills and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Opportunity prospecting, maintaining and growing business relationships, leading solutions design and quote generation, resolving customer issues, and managing customer expectations.
  • Defining and implementing strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Positioning of Calix equipment, software and services into all areas of the account.
  • Developing and leveraging senior level relationships within the account.
  • Providing feedback to Calix development teams on market conditions and requirements.
  • Leading a high performance team in a dynamic, high growth environment that focuses on enabling the success of Calix within this National Account.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong opportunity funnel of new business within the account.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years experience in direct sales to Communication Service Providers, specifically with successful direct selling experience to Level 3 Communications
  • Experience selling complex software and services solutions within the CSP segment.
  • In depth understanding of Communications Service Provider business environment.
  • Familiarity with broadband service solutions for both consumer and business customers.
  • Extensive contacts within the National Service Providers segment – specifically at Level 3 Communications  
  • Candidates must have a demonstrated record of success in their previous roles, possess a positive attitude and have an aggressive desire for results.
  • Track record of proven sales performance against assigned personal quota mandatory.
  • Strong working proficiency with Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook.       Forecasting and account planning tools proficiency in SalesForce CRM.
  • BS or Technical Degree desired.
