Calix is searching for an individual who is well networked within the Cable/MSO industry and that can technically influence the ecosystem to align it with Calix's strategic direction. This individual should be technically proficient in the cable/MSO network architecture and the debates within the industry as to where and how these network should technologically migrate. Moreover, this individual should have exceptional experience within Cablelabs and forums, such as SCTE, in which activities, for example contributions have been made, participation on panel discussions and debates, publication of articles and white papers, blogs, etc., make up the candidates experience and proficiency. The candidate should have wide and deep reach within the cable/MSO industry.


  • Thorough understanding of the current and proposed architecture for the cable/MSO infrastructure
  • Thorough knowledge of both HFC and fiber initiatives for cable/MSO
  • Thorough knowledge of DOCSSIS
  • Well experienced in CableLabs with a history of lead positions such as editorship, project lead, contribution lead
  • Experienced with working with the cable/MSO ecosystem (chip vendors, systems vendors, market analysts, trade publications, SCTE) as well as having working relationships with key individuals in those disciplines. The overall objective is for someone to be able to ‘network’ across the cable industry as well as participate in lead positions at events.
  • Advanced verifiable presentation skills. Ability to present and message at a top tier professional level.
  • Thorough understanding of the cable/MSO use-cases, business and market needs.
  • Experienced at working with tier 1 Cable/MSO future strategic planning efforts


  • 5 Years of experience with the Cable/MSO ecosystem
