Purpose:

Calix is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to have responsibility for formulating sales strategies, product insertion strategies, penetrating large Tier1 customer accounts and growing revenue within the region. This position is based in Taipei, Taiwan but you will cover other countries in North Asia including Japan, Korea and Hong Kong and additional countries as needed.

Responsibilities

Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) are responsible for selling into both new and established Calix customers. Prospective candidates must have a high level of insight into the large Network Service Provider marketplace from a business and infrastructure perspective including intimate knowledge of the customers overall strategy including their business models, technology, growth strategies and the competitive environment. As the Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers at all levels of the organization, influencing your customers long-term strategic direction, and act as a trusted advisor and influencer
  • Having strong relationships complete detailed intimate knowledge of the Planning, Engineering and Procurement groups within the region.
  • Understanding, building and executing an account strategy and be able to demonstrate your experience in building / executing these strategies in order to beat your competitors. Target Account Selling planning is a must
  • Must understand the resource commitment required to effectively train and facilitate the support in the region to deliver success.

The ideal candidate would possess previous experience successfully bringing in new Software / hardware solutions into large customer networks and be able to demonstrate a clear Return on Investment to the customers business.

 

As the successful candidate, you should also be able to demonstrate that:

  • You are a top sales performer and have a history of exceeding sales quotas
  • You have a detailed understanding of access networks and demonstrated success in selling Access solutions
  • You are able to create detailed account penetration complete with insertion strategies and executable plans that are reviewed quarterly
  • You have been meeting / exceeding yearly Bookings and Revenue objectives
  • You can build and lead a best-in-class Account Team

 Successful RSMs are rewarded with both opportunity and a very aggressive total compensation packages.

Qualifications

  • BSEE/BSCS or equivalent technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • Candidates must have a strong solution selling background, which includes a minimum of 5-10 years in IP, ATM, TDM internetworking, transmission, switching and a complete understanding of Software Defined Networks.
  • Prospects require a sound track record of continuous customer success and results.
  • Candidates must be competitive, cooperative, and work well with customers both internal and external.
  • 80% travel throughout the region required
